The Hendy Group's illustrious family-led heritage stretching back for 160 years is why our customers keep coming back time and time again. Our forward-thinking, progressive outlook perfectly complements our values, with honesty, quality, care and customer service still at the heart of the company, as they have been since 1859.

Today, we deliver premium sales and aftersales service in over 80 sites along the South Coast, from Eastbourne to Exeter, and continue to strive towards our vision to achieve 100% positive customer and colleague experience. Quite an achievement and journey since we began selling bicycles all those years ago....

Engaging our colleagues allows us to share in our successes and keep everyone updated on company performance and plans for the future, whether that be sales, marketing or people related. We pride ourselves in our transparent approach to this which is demonstrated each quarter at our management conference.

Our Hendy Foundation has been set up as a dedicated charity foundation to provide grants to local projects, people, events and charitable organisations. Hendy Group donates £2 for every retail car it sells which in one year can create a fund of £50,000. The Hendy Group has always had strong foundations with the local communities in which it operates, and the Foundation provides the perfect umbrella for its charitable activities and invites customers and colleagues to get involved.

Our Benefits

We have a range of benefits on offer to our colleagues, including a company pension scheme and the option to purchase additional leave each year. Always on the look out for talent, our colleagues can recommend a friend for employment at Hendy and receive up to £750... and if they recommend a friend to purchase a vehicle, they also receive a financial incentive.

As testament to the loyalty of our colleagues, we are proud to say that we have 5% of our colleagues who have worked with Hendy Group for over 25 years. Each year, we take our 25 year 'club' members and their partners on a day out. In recent years, this has included a day trip to the Isle of Wight, overnight accommodation, activities at the Four Seasons Hotel in Hampshire, and a party at Hever Castle.

Rewarding Achievement

We like to celebrate success by recognising and rewarding high performance by regularly running employee incentive programmes - the incentive can be introduced at any time with a different objective, target and 'prize' available. Previously these incentives have included a VIP World Cup experience, trips to New York, Barcelona and Dubai and F1 tickets to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Each year we hold an Awards night in January for all our colleagues to attend to enjoy an evening together and recognise achievement across all areas of the business.

Our Development

We are proud of our learning and development hub in Portsmouth. The purpose-built Hendy Academy meets your development needs through workshops, coaching, online learning and on the job experience. Within the Academy, our advanced facilities and highly experienced training team support you every step of the way from your Induction programme through to programmes designed to set you up for success in your role at Hendy. We recognise our investment in training enables skills development for everyone in order that we can be the very best at what we do. All our programmes are underpinned by our values and created in an environment that encourages shared learning and building strong relationships across the Group.
